GCSE Maths tutoring

One-to-one GCSE maths support — online across the UK, or in person from Tooting Bec across South West London.

Who it’s for

GCSE is often where confidence dips: foundations from earlier years catch up with students, exam wording feels unfamiliar, and school pace doesn’t leave room to unpick mistakes properly.

I work with students aiming to secure a pass, climb into a stronger grade band, or rebuild belief after mocks that didn’t go to plan — provided they’re willing to practise between lessons.

How lessons run

We start from current schoolwork and the topics that feel least solid. As exams approach, lessons shift toward past-paper style questions, timing, and how marks are actually awarded.

The aim isn’t to race through a textbook — it’s to close specific gaps, make methods feel reliable under pressure, and turn “I can’t do maths” into a clearer sense of what to do next on each question type.

You can also use the free past-paper resources on this site to practise between sessions.

Online or in person

In person: based in Tooting Bec, with lessons across nearby areas including Tooting, Balham, Streatham, Clapham, Wandsworth, Colliers Wood, Mitcham and Earlsfield.

Online: the same one-to-one format for students anywhere in the UK — useful when diaries are busy or travel doesn’t make sense.

Results mindset

Parents and students often see the biggest jumps when tutoring sits alongside steady homework effort — not as a last-minute rescue alone. I’ve supported many GCSE students through that process; you can read examples in the reviews and success stories on the homepage.
