KS3 Maths tutoring
One-to-one support for Years 7–9 — online across the UK, or in person from Tooting Bec in South West London.
Who it’s for
KS3 is where maths either becomes a steady strength or starts to feel shaky. Small gaps in number sense, algebra basics or fractions can grow quickly once GCSE content arrives.
I work with students who need clearer explanations than a busy classroom allows, who have lost confidence after a tough term, or whose parents want a stronger foundation before the GCSE years.
How lessons run
Lessons stay patient and practical: we identify what’s unclear, rebuild the method step by step, then practise until it feels reliable — not rushed.
The tone matters as much as the maths. Students who feel safe asking “silly” questions progress faster, so I keep sessions supportive while still expecting genuine effort between weeks.
Online or in person
In person: based in Tooting Bec, covering nearby areas including Tooting, Balham, Streatham, Clapham, Wandsworth, Colliers Wood, Mitcham and Earlsfield.
Online: available UK-wide — often easier to fit around after-school clubs and family schedules.
Looking ahead to GCSE
Strong KS3 habits make GCSE far less stressful. When students are ready to move up, the same tutoring approach continues on the GCSE maths tutoring page — with more past-paper focus as exams get closer.
